My wife Anne and I at Christ Church College, Oxford, England
I am old, ugly, overweight, mean, broke and very married. My home is in Cartersville, Georgia, but I live and write on a military base in Northern Iraq. For fifteen months I drove a truck here, but now I have a much safer job that keeps me inside the wire, and give me time to write. I am a graduate of West Georgia College (1970) with a BS in Management. I served as an infantryman in Vietnam. I am married to Anne. We have three children and the world’s cutest grandchild.
In 2003, I wrote a few short stories for a friend’s web site (www. Fostersstore.com). People like them, and I have been writing ever since. Several of my stories have been published in the book “Fosters’ Store” I have just completed my first novel, “Standing at the Cusp of Change.” Excerpts from the novel can be read at my web site www.bob-okelley.com.
